What started out as a news project for the Chicagoland NBC affiliate became a documentary of great significance for the Midwest and the rest of the country. In 2005, The Dells documentary – produced by an amazing team at NBC and spearheaded by Rose McGill – won an Emmy from the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. It was voted the Outstanding Achievement for Documentary Programs of Cultural Significance for 2004-2005. Click here to view a slideshow of the Chicago Emmy Award Ceremony in December 2005.
